Nature holiday in Hitzacker

Our destinature village is located directly at the biosphere reserve Niedersächsische Elbtalaue and at the popular cycle route Elberadweg. Starting in our camp you can watch beavers, storks or white-tailed eagles on the Elbe, cycle along the popular Elbe cycle path or enjoy the half-timbered romance of the small island town during a walk.
Our nature hotel offers 29 comfortable tiny houses and six mobile beds to go, which are generously distributed on a site with old trees.

Some of the locals say that Hitzacker is not in the Wendland at all. We don’t take that too seriously, because we think you can find the Wendland spirit everywhere here. What is that? Above all, this special mixture of creative and committed people, whether they have their roots here or have “transplanted” themselves here.

And that’s exactly why we built our first destinature Dorf here. Because in the Wendland, more than 40 years of resistance against the nuclear waste depot in Gorleben, a distinctive scene of artists and activists, educational clusters such as the Grüne Werkstatt Wendland, as well as the incomparable Kulturelle Landpartie or the special natural and cultural landscape, from the Elbe to the Rundlingsdörfer, are all mixed together.

No problem! We also have two bikes in destinature village Hitzacker, which can be rented from us. The bikes are from the manufacturer my boo, the model is called my Tano. The bikes can be rented for a whole day (10€) or half a day (5€). Please contact the reception if you are interested.

In the organic bistro we have finely selected food from snacks, ice cream, hot and cold drinks, to salads and pasta dishes. There is a special place in a wellness area with three saunas and two hot tubs and outdoor showers. In the washhouse with heated rooms, you will find toilets and washrooms, four showers and a family bathroom / barrier-free bathroom.
